A selection of past public events
A sold-out night of dancing at St Peters Civic Hall, Carmarthen, saw 150 people enjoying themselves on the floor.
The band's extended dance set had couples of all abilities crowding the floor throughout the evening, with some examples of excellent rumba's, foxtrots and cha-cha-cha's and jives!
Simon Haslam's 40th birthday gig on 15th October 2005 at Queen's Hall, Narberth, featured the band, with Simon on vocals. The smooth sounds of The Merlinaires Dance Orchestra provided a polished performance for the audience of over 300 people. Highly successful evening with many ballroom dancers in attendance both experienced and newcomers. A substantial amount of money was raised for the Tsunami Relief Fund. A good performance by the Merlinaires to an audience who are to be congratulated on their excellent standard of period dress. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ball.
Ysgol Griffith Jones was the venue for the Royal British Legions' annual bash in November. Music was provided primarily by the excellent Merlinaires supported by the outstanding Swansea Pipe Band and both performed superbly throught the evening. Dance School at Maridunum School Johnstown. BIG, BRASSY AND LIVE - A LOAD OF OLD WARLOCKS? Following the enthusiastic reaction to their last appearance for the Jazz Society, The Merlinaires once again appeared at The Gremlin Club in Carmarthen. |
